About the Author

    Valerie’s passion for children’s book writing began with a desire to help children of divorce. As the author of Some Days Are Really Hard – Divorce Through the Eyes of  a Child  and Journal: A Daily Record of My Highs and Lows,  she hopes her book will help validate the feelings that plague many children of divorce and provide needed comfort and support.

Valerie’s latest release, It’s the Simple Things, is a sweet and joyful book that encourages appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. 

     When she is not writing, Valerie spends most of her time reading, cooking, and playing pickleball. Although on warm, sunny afternoons, you’re more likely to find her fighting writer’s block at one of the local wineries around Tryon, NC, where she lives with her husband, two daughters, and a fluffy German Spitz.
